Have you ever found yourself wondering...
"Why do I keep ending up in the same kind of relationships?"
" I know exactly what I should do... but I still can't seem to do it?"
"Why does one small text affect me so much?"
"Why do I overthink everything... even when I know I shouldn't?"
"Why do I feel emotionally exhausted... even when nothing 'big' has happened?"
If you have ever asked yourself questions like these, you are not alone.
Most people come to therapy wanting relief from a symptom. What has always interested me is understanding the person behind the symptom.
I believe our symptoms, emotions, and recurring patterns are rarely random. Anxiety, depression, OCD, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or relationship struggles often began as intelligent ways of adapting to experiences that once felt too painful, confusing, or overwhelming to navigate differently. Rather than asking, "How do we get rid of this?", I find myself wondering, "What has this symptom been trying to protect, communicate, or do for you all along?"
I am Dikshita Saikia, an RCI Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist (M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology | M.Sc. Psychology | 3+ years of experience | 1800+ psychotherapy sessions | 60+ comprehensive psychological assessments). My work is grounded in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment-focused, emotion-focused and most importantly trauma-informed care.
You don't have to come with the right words or have everything figured out. You can bring the parts of yourself that feel messy, scared, anxious, ashamed, lonely, or difficult to love- the parts you have learned to hide just to get through life. Together, we will make sense of what has been keeping you stuck, so that change feels less like fighting yourself and more like finally coming home to yourself.
Whether I am working with individuals, couples, or conducting psychological assessments, my goal remains the same: to understand the whole person before arriving at explanations or diagnoses. My hope isn't simply to help you feel better for a little while. My hope is that you leave therapy with more clarity, more self-compassion, and a deeper sense of connection- with yourself and the people you love.
If these words made you feel seen and understood, imagine what fifty uninterrupted minutes of being deeply listened to and understood would feel like. I would love to meet you wherever you are in your journey and walk alongside you as we create meaningful, lasting change together.

However, some potential risks are associated with counseling, such as emotional discomfort, increased awareness of painful emotions or memories, and changes in personal relationships.
Possible Limitations to Care:
A. Video/Audio consultation has its own limitations as compared to in-person sessions despite best efforts.
B. Tele-counselling sessions are appointment based only and these consultations are not suitable for help during a crisis or emergency. I understand that the counsellor would evaluate my need and context and guide me about the most suitable option for psychological intervention in that context.
C. In case of crisis situations or repeated experiences of intense feelings, the counsellor will need to make a referral to a Psychiatrist or seek help at an emergency mental health service. The counsellor is not in the capacity to provide emergency help.
I encourage you to freely express your feelings in counselling and if you experience any reservation/fear, I encourage you to share it without hesitation.
